Prior Announcements

01/09/09 - Student Timesheet Reminder Email

The timesheet submit reminders sent to student employees by CruzPay early this morning incorrectly indicated that your January timesheet is due on the 15th of this month, instead of the correct deadline of the 23rd.  Although December timesheets were due earlier than normal, in January the deadline returns to the 23rd.
We apologize for this error.  A timesheet submit reminder e-mail will be sent on January 21st to any students with unsubmitted timesheets.  Please contact us with any questions.

12/22/2008 - CruzPay Access/Support during Campus Closure

CruzPay is expected to be available as usual for time reporting during the Campus Closure. E-mail or voice mail help requests made during the closure will be responded to promptly on 01/02/2009. From the CruzPay Team, here's wishing everyone a happy, restful winter break.

12/15/08 - 2008/2009 Campus Closure Information

Information has been sent via email to all CruzPay staff users regarding CruzPay and the Campus Closure. If you did not receive the email, you can read it here

12/03/08 - Submit Reminder Emails

System emails were sent this morning advising employees to submit October timesheets.  This is in error.  October timesheets have already been processed, and no action is needed.  We apologize for any confusion.  Please contact cruzpay_help@ucsc.edu with any questions.

11/05/08 - CruzPay Connectivity Problems

As of approximately 11:40am, users are experiencing connectivity problems and slowness when accessing CruzPay. We are in contact with the vendor and will let you know as soon as we have resolution. Please check back regularly for the latest status update. Thank you for your continued patience.

10/20/08 – Student and Hourly Staff Employees: Early Timesheet Deadlines for November and December

November and December timesheets are due earlier than normal to accommodate the holidays and Campus Closure. Click here for more information regarding the accelerated due dates.

09/29/08 - CruzPay Job Opening

9/11/08 - CruzPay Unavailable - Sat, 9/13 10pm - Sun, 9/14 10am

Due to electrical maintenance in the Data Center, CruzPay will be unavailable from 10:00pm on Saturday, 9/13/2008 until approximately 10:00am on Sunday, 9/14/2008.

8/29/08 - Labor Day Holiday

Monday, September 1 is the Labor Day Holiday.  If needed, non-exempt employees can visit the Holiday section of the Staff Employee Toolbox for assistance with entering their holiday time.

08/27/08 - CruzPay Connectivity Problems

8/27/08 - CruzPay Welcomes Student Affairs Staff!

Student Affairs staff employees will begin using CruzPay for the September 2008 pay period.  Click here for detailed information on this rollout. Student Affairs staff employees may login to CruzPay to begin reporting hours on September 3, 2008.  For the pay period ending August 31, these staff should use their existing Student Affairs portal timesheet submission method.  Come on in; we're happy to have you on board!

08/25/08 - Completed Staff Data Updates

We have successfully completed the updates for some staff employees.

08/22/08 - Staff Data Updates

We are in the process of updating CruzPay data for some staff employees. This does not affect the integrity of your timesheet data, your ability to make entries on your timesheet, save your timesheet, or submit your timesheet. However, if you see anything out of the ordinary, please email cruzpay_help@ucsc.edu and we will respond promptly on Monday August 25th. Note that this has no impact on student employees.

08/01/08 - Staff Timesheet Reminder E-mail

The timesheet submit reminders that were sent to staff employees by CruzPay early this morning incorrectly indicated that July timesheets are past due, instead of the correct courtesy reminder that July timesheets are now due. 
We apologize for this error. Unsubmitted July timesheets will not be considered past due until August 6th.

7/29/08 - Students: Entering hours after your job has ended

06/20/2008 - Students: Finalize timesheets before summer

Students, it's time to enter your final hours worked for the Spring Quarter before leaving for the summer.
If any of your assignments do not appear in the My Timesheets box on the right side of the CruzPay dashboard, please refer to the Past Assignments section of the Student Employee Toolbox here for further instructions.  For other CruzPay questions, please contact cruzpay_help@ucsc.edu.

06/06/2008 - Successful Student Employee Rollout!

Approximately 2000 student timesheets were submitted and approved by supervisors in CruzPay for the April 24 - May 23 pay period.  These timesheet hours were processed by Staff HR timekeepers for payment on the June 6, 2008 payroll cycle.  As always, any questions regarding your pay should be directed to Staff HR.  Click here to locate your timekeeper.

05/27/08 - Campus E-mail Problems

Per ITS, the campus is currently experiencing problems with sending and receiving e-mail. If you need help logging into CruzPay, the best way to reach us this morning is by phone; call 459-3880. We will be checking voice mail constantly, and will get back to you as quickly as possible. Also, we are attempting to respond to e-mails we received over the weekend; however, most of our e-mail responses are failing due to the e-mail system problem. We will continue to attempt responding as we receive information from ITS that the e-mail problem is resolved. If you had contacted us over the weekend and have not received a response, please contact via phone this morning.

05/15/08 - Supervisor functionality restored

Supervisor functionality has been restored as of 8:15 am.

05/14/08 - CruzPay upgrade complete!

CruzPay has been upgraded to version 6.3.1, and is again available for time entry. If you see any discrepancies in your use of CruzPay, please let us know immediately at cruzpay_help@ucsc.edu

05/14/08 - Supervisor functionality issues

Some supervisors are currently experiencing a lack of functionality related to supervisor duties. We are working on the issue with the vendor, and will update this location as soon as more information is available.

Update 05/13 7:00 AM

Due to scheduling conflicts with our software vendor, the upgrade did not occur as planned. We are currently rescheduling, and will update this space as more information is available.

05/12/2008 - CruzPay unavailable 05/13 4:00 - 7:00 AM

Please be advised that CruzPay production will be unavailable for a scheduled upgrade on Tuesday 05/13 from 4:00 - 7:00 am Pacific Time.  We expect the system to be online by 7:00 am, and will update this message that morning if there are any changes.

05/08/2008 - Student employees now using CruzPay

As of 04/24/2008, student employees began using CruzPay and are now entering their hours electronically.  Approximately 2600 accounts were distributed to eligible student employees and any supervisors who were not already using the system.  Click here for detailed information on this rollout.  Overall response is positive, and we are very pleased it is going smoothly.  Reminder that FAQs are available, and user support is standing by if you need assistance. 05/01/2008 - Intermittent errors when using CruzPay

Due to hardware issues at the hosting site for CruzPay, and increased load due to end of the month time entry, we are currently experiencing intermittent proxy and application errors. The vendor is aware of this situation, and working diligently to correct it. If you receive an error, please try again, as the server load constantly fluctuates.

4/22/2008 - CruzPay Welcomes Student Employees!

Student employees scheduled to begin using CruzPay for the April 24 - May 23 pay period have been sent their CruzPay UserID and initial password via e-mail.  Not all student employees will be using CruzPay; click here for detailed information on this rollout, and groups included. Student employees may login to CruzPay to begin reporting hours on THURSDAY, APRIL 24.  For the pay period ending April 23, students should use their existing (prior to CruzPay) timesheet submission method.  Come on in; we're happy to have you on board!

04/21/2008 - Informational E-mail Sent to Supervisors

On 04/21/2008 an e-mail was sent to all current CruzPay supervisors, announcing that CruzPay-eligible student employees have received accounts.  This includes information for supervisors who currently, or may in the future, supervise student employees.  You can find the text of the email here.

03/17/2008 - Important information regarding Student roll-out

02/07/2008 - Student Employees to begin using CruzPay

On 02/05/2008 and 02/06/2008, emails were sent to campus staff and academic employees and affected students regarding upcoming inclusion of students in CruzPay. If you did not receive an email, you can find the academic and staff email here, and the student email here.

02/05/2008 - CruzPay Online!

Our patch work is now completed, and the system is available. Happy time entry!

02/04/2008 - CruzPay Down for Patch 02/05/2008

CruzPay will be taken offline for a patch on Tuesday 02/05/2008 from approximately 5:00 - 6:30 AM. This patch should allow users to run reports for 02/29/2008.

12/21/2007 - CruzPay During Campus Closure

10/27/2007 - System Upgrade SUCCESS!

On 10/27/2007, the ETAS Team successfully upgraded the CruzPay software to version 6.2.5.4. This upgrade should be transparent for the end user. As of 11:45, CruzPay is back online and available for use. Let us know immediately at cruzpay_help@ucsc.edu if you encounter any issues.

10/25/2007 - Electronic Workflow now Live!

We have completed our phasing work for Electronic Workflow. If you use CruzPay for your time reporting needs, your supervisor should now be approving your timesheet online!

10/18/2007 - CruzPay Unavailable 10/27/2007

The CruzPay system will be unavailable on Saturday, October 27 as we upgrade to a new release of the software. We expect the downtime to last all day Saturday.

10/01/2007 - September Submit Email Correction

Employees who had not yet submitted their September timesheet received a Submit Reminder email this morning.  In the email, we inadvertently indicated that there were no holidays in September. This was strictly a text error, and all eligible employees will still receive the 09/03 Labor Day holiday as normal. Click here if you are interested in seeing the Monthly Working Hours calendar, which contains a list of holidays per month as observed by UCSC.  We apologize for this error, please contact cruzpay_help@ucsc.edu if you have any questions.

10/01/2007 - CruzPay Currently Down

At 9:00 AM, we were notified by the hosting site that CruzPay is currently experiencing connection problems. We will update this regularly in order to keep everyone informed of when the system will be available.

01/31/2007 - Browsers and the Upgrade

We've received calls from users reporting problems with their timesheet, as well as printing the Attendance Leave Use Record, due to using outdated or unsupported browsers. 01/27/2007 - System Upgrade SUCCESS!

On 01/27/2007, the ETAS Team successfully upgraded the CruzPay software to version 6.2.2. This upgrade was in preparation for future functionality, and should be generally transparent for the end user. Let us know immediately at cruzpay_help@ucsc.edu if you encounter any issues.

Scheduled Downtime 09/09/2006

Several important windows in the CruzPay System, such as Time off Balance, require configuration of your browser's pop-up blocker to function correctly. Please follow the instructions located here to allow these windows

Peak Times in CruzPay

If you choose to enter the majority of your time on the last day of the month, or the first day of the new month, be aware that there may be periods of slowness as more users attempt to enter their time. Be proactive, and your experience will be much smoother!
