Important Information for Internet Explorer UsersUpdate 01/27/2007:The upgrade to version 6.2 of the CruzPay system should fix all occurances of the printing issue described below. If you continue to experience problems opening your timesheet in PDF format from the website, please contact us immediately at etas_office@ucsc.edu There is a known Microsoft bug in all current versions of Internet Explorer which prevents applications running in IE under an secure environment (https) from viewing/executing an external data file such as a PDF or spreadsheet directly from the browser. There is a patch available from Microsoft to fix this defect; however, even with the patch, the user will still have to save and print their PDF timesheet in 2 separate steps. This document describes the process for applying the patch for Internet Explorer 6.0 with Service Pack 1, and Internet Explorer 6.0 with Service Pack 2. Important: The best alternative is to use Mozilla Firefox with CruzPay. If this is not possible, the patch is available for Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or SP2, with a current set of installed Security Updates, particularly MS04-004 (832894).
